well, yeah. im writing an essay for my english class on why the Honda S2000 is the best sports car in its CLASS, among its competitors and im required to do a survey page.

Without having driven this car, I would definitely say this is a good sports car. Honda has refined the S2000CR to function as a daily driver which is track ready. I look forward to getting a good job so that I can one day buy this car. Male/24

Why couldnt you have picked an easier topic. I will tell you where to get good feedback...s2ki. Those people actually own S2k. There are only a few members on here that own them and can answer those questions fully. just drivng them doesnt count. And I highly doubt a lot of people have driven the CR since it is limited...Your better off limiting it to AP1/2 bodystyles.

yea, but i wasnt restricted to asking enthusiasts. i could have asked people on campus, but i was too lazy, lol
plus, if i ask them on that forum, i think they would be a little bias.

so in your opinions from what you know and heard of the sk2, what do you think of it?

i think its better to ask on a s2k forum. not many members on this forum own s2k's. its better to ask people who actually own them since they should know their car in and out. asking people like us about what we 'heard' of or what we 'think' about it is just opinions with no actual truth behind it since we don't own one. we own 15-18 year old family cars. (for some, they own other cars).

Accord = S2k lol. As I said S2k forums. And if that does happen your results would be skewed. Shoulda chose another topic that was easier. I dunno why people do subjects on these when there are 10x easier ones that you dont have to do research. As I said S2ki is better if you want proper results. Opinions vs facts are two different things. Another thing your survey is really vague. I do not see anything of it pertaining to an s2k. Its like do you like the car and whats your sex lol...IMO not a good basis to write a paper out of.

I agree with the above comments. Most of the responses you'll get will be opinions. That said, I think the S2k is a great car. In fact, it's my "car of the week" right now. (I change my mind a lot about what car I'm going to get when I graduate, hence the "car of the week" term. Hopefully I've decided on one finally, because I'll be buying over the summer.) Oh, and I'm 21/M.

ive drove a 04 s2k. they are nice good sports cars. but what other cars do u consider in its class? the handling is very tight, i wanted to do suspension mods to my cb7 the minute i got back into it. but comfort, id rate it low. cant be really tall or big in a s2k. my friend can fit in a viper but not s2k at all. i can drive it but its uncomfortable. and im a big guy but im 255lbs and 5 11

btw im 23. id like a g35 or 350z more for comfort even thought i think they dont have the sound when u hit 9k and the tight handling go cart feel at all.

I hate getting in and out of a s2k... and im about 5'10-5'11. Driving it is fine, but its a very 'tight' car.

Nice sex appeal, but the lack of tq in stock form bothers me personally...

Unless you find a good deal on a used one, I'd save a little more to open up to different options.

Well if you want opinions here is mine since I have buddies that own both.

AP1 = Great all rounder, Great autocross car, Holds you in when taking turns, and you gotta beat the shit out of it to make it pull its weight its great. Stockwise dd the ride isnt too bad or jolty. It is however a bit stiffer than the AP2. IMO AP1 has more room inside than AP2.

AP2 = Definitely feel a slight ychange in the low range with the upped displacement, Driver feels tighter (squeezes my thighs more for some reason , It feels toned down from the AP1, More electronic gismos that take the rawness out of an s2k, Easy to drive and the ride is more comfortable if you dd. I forgot about trunk room as it has been a while since I have looked at the AP2. It's optimal thats all I can say.

Do I think its the best street car in its class? It is alright for its class, obviously no slouch but I dunno if it can be called "the best".
