Opinions on volvo's

more specifically the 99 s70. Then one I am looking at has 90k on it and I am wondering how good these cars are. I have read through some stuff but am still skeptical and wondering if any knowledgable members here had an opinion.

I don't know much other than they are suppose to be safe.

They're junk dude. My aunt in caracus had one and put three transmissions in it. blahblahblah had one and he said it was junk. Kept breaking down on him. You should just stick with a cb.

I say get it if everything checks out. One of my friends has one and I have ridden in it. My opinions: overall it seems to be a very good car. The ride is very smooth, power is there when you want it, interior is very nice, and it's safe. He has rolled it onto it's side and drove away in the same car. He broke the mirror, flattened one of the tires, and scratched it up. How many vehicles can you say that you can roll, set it back down, and drive off? Not very many. Only downside is that some of the interior trim is starting to peel.

my dad has a 96 850 and the only bad thing about it is that it leaks oil and when we get it fixed it does it again. other that that i like it. volvos are said to be the safest cars on the road. his is a 96 and it has airbags in the doors. you can make them pretty damn quick too

my old job i saw countless volvos with well over 300k on them... so i know they can take a bunch of miles on them, as for individual faults i dunno

chassis built solid. Expensive to fix. I believe that model is slow

My parents had one and every 6 months the ABS went out and it would also leak oil like a funnel! it was an 850 turbo thing was junk!
