I am tired of people saying fwd cars can drift especially on youtube. All those people are doing are going as fast as possible and yanking a damn e brake. After they lose momentum they cant do crap anymore. Its pointless and its not "drifting". I hate people that type that in the title of the youtube posts. Tail dragging vs drifting is different. Oh yea lets go as fast as we can in my hyundai and yank on the ebrake to break the tail end loose. Not drifting regardless of what people say. I like how most of the people in the posts think they are hardcore too makes me want to punch more people in the face.

D1GP would disagree with u............although FWD rarely qualify for the event, they r aloud to enter and r considered drifting.

"FWD cars do qualify for entrance into D1GP events, but are rarely used due to the drivetrains inability to allow the car to accelerate out of a drift."

Braking drift

This drift is performed by braking into a corner, so that the car can transfer weight to the front. This is immediately followed by throttle, which in an RWD car causes the rear wheels to lose traction. FWD cars can also use this technique as it does not depend on the rear wheels being driven.[12] In FWD cars the front wheels are not allowed to lock due to the continuous power, the rear wheels locks easily due to weight transfer and due to the general front heavy design of FWDs.

I know about the side brake technique. Its the most commonly used. Its still fail and I can care less about what D1GP says. FWD will never hang with an RWD. Dont bring up the Falken Civic because I dont see it at comps anymore. Anyway you try tandem drifting an fwd in low speed corners I would like to see how that goes. No momentum, no slide = fail. Leave it to RWD thats where true skill is at. Anyone can yank an ebrake and balance a counter steer with your foot on the gas. Anyway side brake or ebrake as we call it is only one technique to be used and the only one that can be used on an FWD. You cant clutch kick, diff lock, and purposely oversteer with throttle *unless your going hot into a corner and yank the wheel, which most likely is not feasible* with an FWD.

The last video was disgusting. Can you imagine someone bumping your CB7 like that? Maybe that behavior is what causes other nations to hate or dislike Americans. Most Americans would object to a foreign military in this country conducting themselves in the same manner as in the last video I wonder what the American reaction would be if this was happening here on this soil?

You also have to take in the fact that they probably use a type of asphalt that has a very low resistance to traction when heated up...it's almost like a race track type of slick road.

Just imagine trying to do it here..the tires on your car would probably shred to shit.

Plus the extreme heat of the desert helps the tires become a bit soft from heating up.
