    Today I hate my Honda.

If any of you have bee following my threads, a lot of things have been fucking up ever seen I brought the car back from Florida for a rust free body. It was physically in a great shape besides the tiny dents and the old paint wearing off. I've spent 5 000$ just to bring it here and get it to pass the inspection. It stayed in the garage all winter so that it doesn't rust. Since I took it out 2 weeks ago, I had to buy a new battery, the crankshaft pulley broke which is something that usually never happens. It looks like the engine has been taken out before and worked on because of how it's clean and for whatever reason someone must've taken the pulley off and screwed the bolt back in improperly. The pulley including the ping and bolt were damaged. I bought at used one from the scrap since a new one doesn't seem to come with the bolt and the ass didn't give me the right bolt. It's somewhat bigger and longer. Today I took my headlights off to put one of them in the oven because its reflector was floating and I wanted to put it back but because of a tiny tiny little crack on the top of the glass caused it to completely crack in two as I tried to take it off hot. I also need a new fucking bumper cover because the fucking previous owner cut in the grill to fit ugly fog lights I threw out long ago. He put lowering springs on the original shocks. he had 4 ugly chromed wheels on with 4 different brand tires that had almost no thread left on them.

I was meant to get it painted completely this week but looks like it isn't going to happen any soon if I need to keep buying things that break. I just bought a trunk lid off eBay not long ago either because mine had severals holes in it due to the ugly supra style spoiler he put on. With all that money stupidly spent he could've gotten the car painted and sell it better. I really hate that car today. My first rusty one was way better than this one mechanic wise.

No. I meant 5 000$. 2300$ was the price of the car, it costed about 900$ of gas to drive down to Florida with my dad and friends to pick it up and then drive 2 cars back (I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada: 4 448Km or 2 764 miles) 500$ of repairs to get it to pass the inspection. Add to all that insurance, license plate, taxes at the border and other things I've got fixed since. If not 5 000, very close to it. I always thought I was the only crazy one about this car till I found this site. I owned 4 Accords out of 5 cars. I had a CD5 before which I really dislike compared to the 3 other CB7s I had. Unfortunately I wanted an EX Coupe, Manual with no rust which is a problem here. There is no rust free old cars in Montreal or the surroundings where it snows. i had to go south. I thought it would be greatful to me from saving its ass and caring about it but no I still owe money on my credit card and decided I would get it repainted over getting coilover suspensions or rims since I can only afford 1 expensive thing at the moment but looks like I won't even be getting that if I need to keep buying parts for it.

Not really. I had an LX which over there would be an DX. The transmission was grinding a little, it was all rusty, now convert all that into an EX since that is what I've always and it will come up to a pretty similar cost. Engine bays, quarter panels, fenders, floors are all rusty around here. You wouldn't eve get all that fixed for 5 000$. It would've costed that much either if it wasn't of the god damn stupid inspection and all the stupid mods the previous owner made that caused me a lot of problems. I didn't know all he had on was lowering springs on the original shocks. It isn't something you see till you lift up to get and get told that it won't pass the inspection because the rear springs move out of their slots when lifted. I think I was just unlucky as I usually am and bought one good looking one but one that decided to break on me. I mean how many people here have changed their crankshaft pulley and if anyone did, did you also need a new pin and bolt that were also damaged including the stripping? I only give the previous owner credit for the DC manifold and exhaust.

                I feel better.

But seriously. I always looked foward into getting it all fixed up, I was patient and all but now seriously it just literally pisses me off. I can barely handle it. Tomorrow I'll have to drive back to that scrap yard in hope he can give me the right bolt. Then again, I can't find a bumper cover, as I mentioned, my drive side headlight cracked today, my trunk lid, bumper and corners lights still haven't gotten here.

I'm starting to think that by the time I finish the car and get it running and look like the way I want, gas will no longer be available for public use or won't be affordable.

You stay away from me man, I only just read about you getting in all kind of shits lol :P ... I'm just kidding.

I actually work in a hotel too, maybe you could get discounts next time you come over. That's also why I can't afford to replace every single parts of the car... *sigh*. I hate it today but there's no way I'm getting rid of it. I know I'll love it after it's all done which means.... ehm ..... within the century.

And... I just learned I won't be getting my trunk lid because it costs 95$ more than the guy said it would and that I've already paid. Great now I need to wait for that money to get transfered back onto my bank account.

(since its kinda hard for me just to drive down, im gonna get it shipped by Semi, and have it droped off at the dealship my friend works at, 250 bucks any car shipped here. As for all the problems with the crank pulley and whatnot, why didnt you ask the seller what was going on with the car.... i mean im not one to just drive down to FL and buy a car lol.

When I bought it, besides the stupid modifications he made to it, everything was working just fine. Since, I drove over 4 000Kms with it. maybe even 4 500Km so about 2 000 miles you can imagine it had to work. Then, problems slowly started to occur. Clutch Master Cylinder was leaking followed by the Slave Cylinder not long after. Valve cover seals were replaced too since they've always been leaking in all of the Hondas I had. The distributor then failed on me too. A few bushings and a ball joint have also been replaced. The dash still has electrical issues that involves the speedometer and the fuel gauge not working 90% of the time. The resonator had a breach in it and now as you know, the crankshaft pulley and battery. I guess I just got unlucky and it all happened to me almost at once. I'm actually looking for one right now that someone would sell for no more than 350$. Already if I take the trunk lid, hood, bumper cover, driver side headlight, screws, electrical parts it's already worth it because I would probably pay more for all these items at the yard. I think that will be my next investment that will help me save. Don't know why I haven't thought about it a little earlier before I bought the integra spoiler and crankshaft pulley. I guess I didn't think everything would break on me.

                          I feel your pain bro.

Before i left for AZ, i was in the shop once a month. Went to AZ, nothing for 6 months. Not a damn thing. Been back home for awhile...since the 1st of the year, my car has been operating about a month. The other 3 months its either been in the shop or sitting, waiting to be worked on.

All you can do is hang in there and hope the car decides to straighten up one day.
