If you get it on by hand you should be able to get it off by hand.
The first oil change I did on my Lude sucked, I couldn't get the filter off.
I tried wrenches, strap wrench, everything.
I ended up stabbing the filter with a big ass screwdriver and twisting it off that way. Works well if ya ever get one stuck.
holy shit.. i couldnt stand taking off the very first oil filters on new cars.. i think they must put some sort of adhesive sealant shit on the gaskets or something when they are built.. fucking ridiculous..
there were a few others that were just WAY too damn tight and the gasket was obviously not oiled before install.. ive destroyed quite a few filters in my day because of that.. ugh..
lol, i rememebr at auto shop this guy broguht in his Audi A4 to do an oil job. we had to use vice grip pliers to take the mother fucker off. we pretty much tore through the oil filter and it was a 3 hour oil job.

wow... guess i'm not over tightening :P I've always been able to get it on/off by hand. If you've never seen me... which 99% havnt... I'm not a very strong looking guy :P
I've had to stab a few with a screw driver at my last job. But at home, I don't even own an oil filter tool.
I'd hate to have to use a tool on a CB or any car with a way out of the way filter. Worked on a Z31, could hardly see the damn filter, and couldn't see the mount, I had to use my hands to "see" everything. lol And damn it made a big mess.
