I read something the other day that said the corolla or camry(either way, bot Toyota) was the best selling car of all-time....

Of course Honda's are the best.

                    wow...subaru is third? Awesome...

I would have thought nissan would be higher up...but I'm not shocked...

to put things into a different perspective...they did a chart and showed number of repairs over time...honda and toyota were at the bottom (honda was like a flatline HA HA) and VW was at the top...like a kick ass torque curve...not good for that chart.

Ever since Renault took over Nissan, its been downhill in quality for them. Might as well have been GM that took them over. Pre 2002 nissan is good, post 2002 is garbage from the research I've done. I've looked at VW also and man those are some of the worst cars in reliability. Good performers, but terrible quality. I'm a lil shocked at mercedes though. Suprised Mazda is up there either. As far as Toyota I thnk the only models having quality issues are the camry and tundra.

I still wouldn't buy a new Honda.. Warranty wise Toyota is way above Honda in doing whats right.

The whole point is that if you buy a Honda, chances are you won't need the warranty.

Ever notice how Honda doesn't need to do all kinds of fancy offers and rebates or lifetime power train warranties (ahem, Chrysler) to sell cars?

(they will sell car regardless because of there reputation on there past cars)

Look at the civic si trans for an example. Honda wont care.. they have proven this.. Look at that whole civic new gen in general for reliability.

Look at the 95+ Tacomas with bad frames ... What other company would buy back your almost 15 year old truck back for 150% of the high retail value

( I would just hate to buy a new Honda and have to battle it out with them for warranty work .. No matter how good the car is something will happen to some of them )

They seem to be taking excellent care of the people having transmission problems in every other model... And to be honest, I haven't heard of these transmission problems with the Si trans that you mention. I'd like to read up on them though before I offer any further judgement.
