2 hour parking, what if I move up the street?

So I'm parked in a 2 hour zone, I just went to get gas and parked back into a 2 hour zone on the same street cept up the street aways, and between different 2 hour parking signs. Could I still get a ticket? The parking nazi is always out for blood but seeing as im in a different "zone" I dont think I can get nabbed, I hope.

I used to do that. Never got a ticket but maybe it's only because I was lucky but logically you should be able to. What if you've got 2 friends living on the same street, very close to each other. You visit one then decide to visit the other one and park a little further up the street to be closer to his house. Would you have a choice?

last year my on-campus apartment was on a street with two hour parking, and the city wouldn't let me get an area permit because i technically wasn't a resident of the building.

sooooooooooooo i would move my car up and down the street when i parked outside one of my campus' lots, and i got a ticket once. some traffic cops over here place a mark on one of your tires with a piece of chalk to see who has been there for more than two hours.

lol, im parking infront of the dorms on my campus to not a resident either. they do the chalk thing to but like i can never see the chalk mark when i end up getting a ticket
