    Broken Camber kit

Well the story goes like this, Was driving normally at night and hit a nice sized pot hole. I drove as normally for a few more blocks and then the steering wheel started shaking and pulling all over the place. I stopped and then took off again, the problem wasnt there anymore. Then as soon as I hit 20mph same thing. As soon as I got home I come to see this:

    Good one's

    Bad one:

it looks like the metal was cheaply made.

                About 4 months old.

                brand is dropzone(ebay)

And I actually upgraded the nuts that came with it. I bought better ones with nylon fittings. And I thought the nuts where cheap. lol

DROPZONE???? Man, I read some reviews on dropzones and so far I haven't heard anything good about them. Good thing you didn't get hurt, nor did your cb7 have much damage at all.

Yea I was smart enough to get upgraded nuts but I didnt know the metal itself would fail like it did. This could have been worse if It were at higher speeds. I'm lucky I was on local streets and less than a mile from home.

This is why you should never cheap out on suspension parts.

Looks like the bushing has been gone in the bad one for a while..Unless it happened when you remove the part. That could of been an issue in the failure.

I had the same kit. It also broke. I attributed it to over-torquing it, but perhaps that wasn't the case.

Mine didn't break like that though. It broke up around the top bolt. The metal around the bolt just stretched and split.

When mine went, it was on rt295... at highway speeds (65+) Pretty scary... I nearly fainted when I saw the damage.

We should petition to get those taken off the market. That's not just some crappy part that won't look right... that's safety. A broken camber kit at 70mph could result in a fatal crash!

Yea problem is most of the time nothing gets done about cheaply made parts, (which are safety related) Untill a serious crash happens.
