First off, I just want to say I hate the morons that want to stand behind me and watch what I'm doing at all times. Thats why there is a sign above the door, some people still don't get it though. If you're that paranoid about it, I'll show you the parts when I'm done.

Same here. Another thing I hate is when they dont stop asking you questions.

A local guy here charges like 1/3 more if you stand and watch and damn near doubles the charge if you ask a question.

Had him do my t-belt when I first bought my honda (and her first t-belt too )...I bought my own parts and he charged me like...175? I think...woulda been more if I hadn't paid cash too. He did a good job and I didn't watch over even though I wanted to.

When I was at Toyota we had customers sit and watch...then we also had the ones who marked their filters...fine.eh...didn't bother me cause I did my job right...

One guy even after we changed their oil filter they claimed we didn't change it. Course his claim was based on the fact that the number on his filter was the same as the old one...course this was the part number and...all the toyota filters had that number

but someone just watching over your shoulder would make Christ nervous...I hated that.

Its like having a groupd of people in a stand watching you bang your gf....Well unless your a swinger, exhibitionist, or porn star thats a diff story. But yea its like people are interrogating you. You ever been in a room by yourself and having someone of higher know how watching every move and grading you on everything you do? Thats kinda like what it feels like but in a lower sense. People are trying to do their job not get interviewed doing it. But I like that 1/3 more for charging lol. Friends are ok since you know them and so on...Strangers thats a different story.
