Man that makes me soo mad I don't really trust most chain mechanic shops, my dad was packing for a trip so he didn't have time to change his oil, when he got it back from the shop he looked underneath and they never tightened the oil pan bolt down so all that new oil was leaking everywhere. Even a honda mechanic stripped the oil pan's bolt insert so they had to drill a hole and insert new threads.

Well they pretty much had to or else they wouldn't have been able to keep the oil in.

ya i seen that vid before. I never take my car there to get worked on unless i personally know the people there. My friend was a Ass. Manager there so he would let me take my car in there after closing and work on it.

4 is so boring, why not a smiley face for when the mechanic fixes it so he can see it or CB7.

actually whenever i have something replaced at a mechanics, i made it a habit to stand outside of the shop and look in to see what they are doing and then afterwards i ask to see the parts that they removed from my car/truck.

Oil changes i do myself because i like to check for metal chards.

just watch the people do it, it beats getting stiffed. Or request for the old parts back after the service is done, so there's no possibility of them stiffing you.
