nothing ventured, nothing accomplished. Everyone keep saying it wont work(including myself) so they dont even try the only option we really have. Being negatve is human characteristic and it works greatly in the oil giant's favor. I've stopped looking for cheap gas a long time ago1993 Accord LX - Sold

I know TDI Jettas are good cars. They get bad ass mileage as my friend had one in my diesel class in Waco. He only managed to get 50mpg which still isnt bad. The accord is new. Weight is gonna be a bit diff and so on. I havent seen it so cant comment much on it. Either way it should be interesting. It should be a bigger car compared to the jetta.

On this one the experts generally agree: No.
One-day or one-month boycotts don't reduce the overall demand for gas and so don't affect price. (Economist Steven D. Levitt, author of "Freakonomics," called the recurring one-day boycott idea "a new low in economic thinking.")
As with weight loss, there is no quick fix, and the only answer is predictably not sexy: Consume less. Choose fuel efficiency, car pools, public transportation, your legs. With time, an across-the-board, consistent drop in demand should equilibrate prices...
