What do you guys think the about Audi A6?

I dunno if this helps or not but i was reading a recent issue of consumer reports where they were doing all the new car testing and crap and in terms of reliability the older audi's sucked big time according to their reviews.

I say BEEMER all the way!

My first car was a BMW 3-series, and I'm a fanboy so I hung out with BMW drivers all the time. My second car was a Jetta, so I then hung out with watercooled guys a lot. Presently, my mom has an A6 Quattro which I've driven a good amount.

I liked the BMW and the Jetta about the same, since they were really similar cars; they both had about the same amount of problems (too many), wouldn't recommend either for someone looking for a really luxurious car.

Audi make some of the best interiors on the Earth, in my opinion. Leather isn't Mercedes, but it holds up as well as BMWs'. I agree with the 2.8 feeling underpowered, but in its defense that is a pretty large car turning an AWD system. Two things that really surprise me about that car: the steering is almost worringly light, like you can turn with one finger. It handles fine, isn't scary or anything, but the steering isn't very informative. Second, it's quiet as a tomb in there. Unless you have the Bose going, which is a very respectable stock sound system. But wind noise (and road noise, if you have conservative tires) is nonexistent.

it's a german car. maintenance!

my cusin has a a6 quattro bi-turbo. its fast, but its also really heavy. like 2 times heavier than my accord. im pretty sure ill beat him, you'll just have to wait and see a vid.

Certainly worse than Hondas. You just need to stay on top of stuff.

Also, having two turbos interferes significantly with both fuel consumption and reliability, so I wouldn't consider that setup the benchmark for either. But in general, they are more expensive and complicated machines than what we're all driving.

Slow as hell unless you get the 2.7. Never really liked the look of them. I feel like you'd do better in an A4 or E39 5 series.
