Thanks so much for your prayers and support guys! My family and I really appreciate it!
well, my dad is doing much better. He's almost, from what I've seen, completely back to normal. He was walking around, talking and joking with every one. He was moved out of the ICU this morning and back onto the medical floor.
It really shouldnt be too much longer untill he's out of there.
Again, thanks so much guys... Really.

Glad to hear good news, Danny!
What will he have to do to keep himself healthy from here on out? Diet changes or anything?
My dad's boss called me one day... said my dad was in the hospital. My dad was a pretty heavy drinker. To combat the hangover, he took lots of aspirin. Well, the aspirin, when taken over a long period of time... with 8 at a time... will eat a hole in your stomach. That's exactly what happened. I'd never before seen my father cry. I went to his work, signed his insurance papers, since he hadn't... and then joined him at the hospital. He was in lousy shape. They fixed him up, though, and he made it through. That was a scary thing to see superman in such a sad state, though!
6 months later, he had a pain in his left arm at work (I didn't know about this until later). He ignored it, and 2 days later, just never woke up. Oddly enough, the aspirin that ate his stomach is probably what kept his heart going! He had a lousy diet of cheesteaks, gin, and beer... TONS of stress... and smoked a ton of unfiltered Pal Mall cigs. It was only a matter of time, and honestly, I probably would've dropped school to help him pay the mortgage... His passing was probably a blessing in disguise, at least for my future... but it was still bad. I miss him every day (especially since his birthday was 2 days ago).
I'm glad you didn't lose your dad. As I said earlier... NOBODY should have to go through that! When he finally goes, I hope his great-grandchildren can attend the funeral... driving fully restored CB7s and Mk3 Supras

hey guys, my dad's finally home, sitting right here behind me in his easy chair. He's about 90% better I'd say. Hes completely mobile, and talking, and such, just has to breathe with an oxygen tank at all times for about a month. For which he has a doctors excuse from work. So basically a month's paid vacation. He looked a little grimey, but tahts after basically a week and a half in the hospital without showering and shaving
My family sends their undying gratitude and love.
Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers, every one!
Thanks so much!! Im glad to see my dad better...

I don't like hearing news like your title stated, that's why I didn't say anything until I read that your dad is doing better. I'm really happy to hear that news. My dad passed away in April 2005, so it's hard to read about things like this, but I am really happy to hear that he is doing better, and I hope he stays healthy for a long time to come.
