I would take a new evo over an STi.

I like both the new sti and evo, but not enough to want to own one. I like to older gens MUCH more. The evo x feels like its driving itself, you just have the luxuries of pointing it where you want, acceleration and stopping. The sti is an sti, I just hate how the new ones look.

Its a lot more fun driving the older gens, less computer technobabble bullshit fighting against you. Getting sideways in the evo x lasts for a couple seconds, then all of the sudden it feels like you hit a curb and your going straight again. But I havnt had the opportunity to drive an sti yet.. maybe that will sway my opinion..

I don't like the new STi. The new Evo looks cool, but a little more grown up than the old ones...

Mitsubishi is starting to come back. I LOVE their older offerings, as many know (Starion, 3000GT VR4, Galant VR4). None of the Evo iterations have really captured me, though.

I'm still a bit uneasy about the World Motor. The 4G63 was a very good design. And I feel that this may still need to have the bugs worked out (unless, of course, it follows the 4G63's lead... where the early ones are solid and the later ones are iffy...) Being co-developed by Mitsubishi (financially struggling, not a great rep for recent quality), Chrysler (same), Daimler (I'm sure they wouldn't have been in it if not for Chrysler), and Hyundai (financially secure, but not really known for performance)... it kinda scares me.

Jesus at the AFR they really dont want the motor to go lol. Thats a lil too safe. But isnt it rated at 300hp stock? It only makes 215 which is kinda disappointing. Maybe the motor hasnt been broken in enough. But you never know they said they had like 10 miles or something like that on the motor as I recall.

Looks cool other than the front wheelgap. Can't wait to see what they have in store for this

Maybe....the Evo still has a crapload more torque than the S2000....almost a 100 ft.lb. more!

I dunno I don't really like it. The front is okay I guess but the tailamps and rear is ugly to me. I can't believe they are sharing the body with the JDM Galant Fortis but with a different front/rear bumper. I never really liked the EVO8,9s either but they grew on me in the end. Still I love the EVO3 and Evo 5 bodies the best. Nice small and compact.

I can't wait to see the people who bought the regular lancers do their switcher-roo and do a Galant conversion.

The only gripe that I have about the EVO X is the design. Looks like they either ran out of paper or they just said fuck it and chopped the front and rear end off.

x2. But, I'd rather have the new evo over the new sti.

Hard to compare the s2k to the evo like that. Both 2.0. One took the cheaters way out to gain hp/tq

Cheaters way? By adding an extremely efficient way of producing power?

Revving to astronomical RPM's to make any kind of power is definitely practical.
