Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    my na build (h22a)

so today i just ordered skunk2 pro series stage 1 camshafts, skunk2 high compression valves (stock size), skunk2 pro series valve springs and retainers.
so im trying to go for some decent numbers on a na motor. oh yeah and i also ordered the coversion kit from auto to man tensioner so i wont have to worry about that damn tensioner going out. dont know if i need cam gears, i was thinking about it and decided not to. also im thinking of getting a greddy timing belt. but hopfully this will make me a little faster. 4 saturdays ago i ran a 14.6 @ 98mph (still spinning )at silverdollar raceway in reynolds ga so im hoping after this head build it puts me in the 13s so i will keep up with the hatches with my family 4 door car. ive been doing research for months trying to find the best camshaft and parts that i needed and what to do and how to do it. what do you guys think of my build and any advice would be good as well.

It seems to be a pretty good setup, Thats what i will probably wind up going with on my build, coupled with their intake manifold and TB. I also have a spare head that i want to get some port and polish work done on. If i had a spare block i would just do a h23 vtec while i was that far into it.

    edited for better understanding

So where'd you find the pro series springs because on the skunk2 site pro springs aren't listed for the h22 and I cant seem to find them only the tuner series.....

go for a Gates timing belt, should cost about half of a greddy and the quality is one of the best.

you dont have to run the pro series springs with the stage 1 pro series cam. i called them and they told me it would be perfectly okay to run the tuner series springs on the pro series stage 1.

How are you so sure b series springs work for the h series?

with a great tune i suspect you could get around 15-17 hp from what you have bought.
I also have the greddy timing belt with no complaint, except it is hard to put on. took about 20 min to do so with the motor out of the car.

glad to see your converting the tensioner.

In the future when you go to buy more for your motor, remember that Bisimito header and a few others will also lay down those type hp numbers.
