INT: Automatic Shift Knob

I had nothing better to do so Im writing this DIY on how to install an Automatic Shift Knob.This is my first DIY so here it goes.

Things you will need
1-Automatic Shift Knob
2-Philips screw driver
3-Tape

1st
You will need to take out the screws on both sides of the stock shift knob with the philips scre driver.

2nd
You will need to tape the white/clear piece to the shift lever,if you do not do this it will cause it to get stuck to the shift lever and it wont let you shift out of Park because it cant fully ingage.Then put the bottom of the aftermarket shift knob over the shift lever.

3rd
Put the shift knob over the shift lever and force it down just a little bit so you will be sure its enough for the shift lever to fully ingage.When screwing in the screws(circled in red) be sure to screw them in evenly around or the bottom will not screw on properly.

4th
Screw the bottom on, that you put over the shift knob in step 2.

Sports Button
If you keep the sports button you can just relocate it to the console using a toggle switch like me.

Misc.
You can chang out the rubber colored pieces to maintain the look of youre car if supplied with youre shift knob.

how did you re-wire the "S" button down there, im planning on doin same thing but i dunno how to move it there. is it just 2 wires from the S button that you pull out and move?????

I should be doing that mod next week.. my in-dash dvd/lcd can't clear my shifter so I have to be in neutral (or lower) which gets pretty annoying for the screen to come in/out

i got a not motorized one so i just pull it out when i want to and it can go out if its at least on R but not on P.

SuperTuner is that a coupe or sedan? the reason i ask is, you have a carpeted gap between the shifter box/area and the handbrake..mines a sedan and its console all the way back....

How do you take off the black flat stick? you know the one thats on top of the metal stick that comes with the stock AUTO shifter.
