ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Moisture in the trunk

I don't know if my car has a exterior leak somewhere, or if CB7 EX-R's tend to rust where the spoiler is attached, but there is always a huge amount of water in the trunk after wet days and it is dripping right onto my sub box, causing it to grow black mold. Not really a fan... Anyone have similar problems with moisture/trunk leaks, and know how to fix it?

I had a stock wing, theres rubber gaskets under the pillars they dry rotted and water came in bad. I got rid of the wing and filled the holes and ended that. You could take off the wing, clean the crud from, under it and the trunk lid, then put a bead of silicon and reattach the wing.

      common problem

get some mouse pads and cut them to the shape of your tail light gaskets. it helped me. i had puddles on each side behind the tail light.

or maybe in your case might be coming from the spoiler gaskets since you say its rusting. do you know if the spoiler was an add on from the dealer or added later?

The water in your taillight and probably your trunk is from the taillight gaskets. There are several DIYs of fixing that problem. The Spoiler issue is a common thing too. If you plan on keeping it, remove it and clean area, rust, old gasket material, make up some new gaskets and use some silicone the middle bolt, the other two drain into the trunk gutters.

Did you have some snow on your trunk and then have milder weather?? or maybe just some milder weather, I C your in BC. My buddy had the same moisture all on the underside of the trunk, I think it was from a dramatic temp change.

Nah, here on Van. Isle we get snow very rarely. It's always rain. Though the temperature goes from 3 degrees to sometimes 15 over the course of the day. It's very random.

I'm going to try getting in the trunk and having someone spray it with water to see if its a full on leak or what.

All that water on the underside of the trunk is definitely from condensation.

Yeah, I'm almost certain it's the center bolt on the spoiler now. It's rusted to all heck underneath, and on the exterior I fiddled with the spoiler a bit and the gasket is cracked.

I would make a gasket to replace the bad one and then use some silicone to seal it.

I wasn't even going to bother replacing the gasket, just go ghetto and fill the whole space where the rust is in the picture above with sillicone.

I've already done a bunch of work to the car with some major help from car-savvy friends. For instance when I got it the previous owner hid wheel well rust with bondo. We ripped all that out, put new new metal in, welded it up and filled that sucker up with allmetal. Shouldn't rust ever ever again.

Happened to mine after some thieving F*cks tried to rip my spoiler off after they stole my car an gutted it. They also bent the trunk lining yanking the 15 box out .. So it leaks in two spots.

I hear you dude. People in my town are losing their CB7's left right and center; some folks even came to my door saying they saw my car and to look out because theirs got stolen and trashed/cleaned out.

It really is sad thieves are giving the honda game a bad name.
Especially the accords number one stolen vehicle in america is a cb7.
