ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Car keeps shutting off

So tonight I went to move my car from my street into my drive way and check engine light would reset and my car would just shut off. I did earlier that day take my distributor off to change my heater hose since it was leaking. Is there anything anyone would kno what the problem could be in this situation? To me it seems like. To me it seems like my ecu is restarting and then just shuts off on me.

My cel, It would turn off and then back on and then my car would just die. My cel is on since my vss is bad but it's been like that for a year since I have to replace my harness. so I don't really know what this problem could be

I was wondering if you are still having your problem. We seem to be having the same symptoms; Where the CEL flashes, reseting the Main relay, which disrupts power to the fuel system, ergo, car dies while driving, or does not start.

If you have not already, I would first check the main relay. It is a very common trouble maker on the 4th and 5th generation accords, (after over 18 years of working fine, not bad). You do not need to buy one as long as you can solder. But with the discount code "RETMENOT123" you can get one from advance for less than $40. and it has a lifetime warranty, so if it is not the problem, you can get your money back.

Even though we have the same symptoms, I hope the main relay is your problem, it wasn't on mine, I soldered mine 4 months ago, and popped a new one in last week, and am still having problems.

        good luck,
        Ken
