ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Taillights: EUDM vs USDM

Hi guys, just to compare the ligths in your tailight and mine, because i saw that you've got the sidelight/brakelight in the both parts of the taillight! And i would like to have it too. On my CB it's just on the outer part.

In the inner leftside there is the foglight and the reverse light:

In the inner rightside there is just the reverse light:

So where is located your rear foglight? i don't see it on your rear bumper.

In order to put the sidelight/brakelight in the inner part i guess i have just to change the rear wire harness and get another taillight wire for the inner rightside :

-Sorry if my english is bad, i try to improve it and do my best to be understood

USDM doesn't have a rear foglight. And that's pretty strange that u only have a reverse light in the other part. So basically the right inner taillight doesn't absolutely nothing except have a reverse light? Thats wack.

It's probably so the rear fog will stand out more significantly than if the entire tail light was lit up. i saw a picture somewhere on the site of a member who had a rear fog in the tail light like the OP's, but also has the right-hand inner tail light lit up as well and the rear fog looked more like an awkwardly bright tail light. imo if you want your rear fog to still stand out, keep it factory

        Thanks guys

        Yes HardInThePaint, it sucks

If i find a cheap rear wire harness, i will test it, as i never use the rear foglight, or else i will add a foglight in the inner rightside.

        to be continued...

I like it. It's different and cleaner than cutting a hole in the bumper for the other type of rear fog lights. Need to find me a set now lol.

yeah but on USDM base if you don't have the rear fog lights, do you have to create all the wire from the switch to the taillight?

ps: peteypete, your cb is one of my favorite cars here very clean!

People in North America are so stupid they'd probably think if someone had an EDM fog that their brake lights are stuck on.

I hope that was sarcasm cuz I know if I saw somebody rolling with that shit I would never think it was a rear fog.

Then why would you think its sarcastic?

You really should only be using a rear foglight in the fog, so if they see it to think your brake light is stuck on than its doing its job.

Cuz referring to "people in North America as stupid" when we don't have rear fogs and 99.9% of the US population would have no idea what the hell that is if they seen one. Thats why I think he was being sarcastic. Thats like calling somebody here stupid cuz they see some JDM fanatic with a bumper pole and mistaking it for a oddly placed radio antenna. Like what the hell else are you supposed to think if you've never seen some shit like that before.

People are still all OMGWTFBBQ when they see RHD's here, so an EDM fog would be no different.

And no, I was not being sarcastic. People are THAT dumb. They do actually sell cars in Canada with rear fogs.

I have seen numerous Volvos and Mercedes with them.

Well RHD is something different. In a spot where LHD is whats up and u see somebody rollin on the other side of the car then it turns some heads most of the time. But an EDM rear fog? And from what the OP is saying its not even a rear fog thats on the bumper but one in the taillight? I don't see anything OMG or BBQ about that.

See thats what I'm saying I don't understand why somebody would be dumb if they seen one of those rear fogs mounted in the taillight and didn't know it was a rear fog. Maybe cuz here in the US cars just don't have rear fogs, never had and probably never will. I suppose in Canada its a bit different. I just know if somebody here was driving down the street with that on, the majority would have no idea what is was and probably would assume it was the light malfunctioning and it was stuck on (like u said).
