    my auto to 5spd project

Sup fellas, ladies...As some of you may know i have a 93 se auto. Been debating on doing this for some time and finally looks like its gonna happen, im not just doing a 5speed swap, im doing a wire tuck, 120k maintenance and painting the engine/tranny, i just finished my parts list. Today i disconnected most of my plugs, removed intake, battery, and most of my front end (bumper, headlights, fender) dont have any pics yet but i will start working on her again on sunday. Hoping to get some of the CT guys to come down and give me a hand tearing it out and ill handle the rest (free lunch to whoever helps and a free auto tranny)

    Pics coming soon

I just got done doing the 5 speed swap not long ago. Just remember its a picky piece of machinery and cheaping out on that swap wont be a fun battle and cause many problems down the road. And also make sure that you have a good clutch and flywheel. DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON ANYTHING!!! You WILL regret it. That means new slave and master cylinders, and all the stuff thats hard to get to and that can break you will want to replace. A nice set of ESP mounts will do you right as well. If you want the ultimate 5 speed swap, you will need about $1200. Thats how much I spent total on everything because I done it right the first time but I also bought a stage one clutch and act streetlite. You must take notes of your wire tuck and alot of pictures for us to admire your handy work.

Well the ACT streetlite is an awesome flywheel. You can get it off ebay for $225 and the exedy stage 1 is 225. The flywheel is a 13 pounder and its pretty decent. I have heard a couple of bad things about fidanza but it looks like people on here havent had any problems. The only thing you wont be able to do is pull a trailer like you want because of the lack of inertia. But that act pulls the wagon around like it aint no thing and you dont have to wind the piss out of it to get it going.

Yea man im telling you just get the act streetlite and exedy stage 1. You will probably NEVER have to worry about that setup breaking unless you are hell on cars. I have alot of hill climbing ability and its so light that its a bitch to drive. Plus the stage 1 grips hard but isnt hard on the leg and wont bust slave cylinders. Its worth every single penny.

Well then, it may be high time to add abs delete to your list of things to do.
