ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Code 43 is very often the oxygen sensor. Replace it with Denso or NGK/NTK. Don't use a Bosch sensor.

That should be all you need. Post again if it works so we know... or post again if it doesn't, so we can dig deeper!

no problem...i get paid tommorow so the oxygen sensor will have to wait til tommorow, but the fuel system cleaner goes in today.

I would run the fuel system cleaner for most of a tank on decent gas, let it do its thing. This worked for me. I dunno if it was a conincidence. but try that first before replacing an o2 sensor prematurely. also check the o2 sensor circuitry and make sure all the connections are clean.

Very true. The effects of the fuel system cleaner will still be beneficial even if you have to replace the o2 sensor, so you won't be wasting any time or money doing that first... and if it fixes the problem, then you save yourself the cost of a new o2 sensor. For now, at least. It's still something that should be replaced, especially if it's the original sensor.

I am still going to run the fuel sustem cleaner to see if that helps and I am also going to replace the o2 sensor..it is the original one and has survived two blown engines..just swapped in a new used f22..so this needs to be replaced

Yeah, if those old engines were burning anything other than fuel, that sensor is very likely shot.

The Honda dealer for sure, but they'll probably charge you $150 or more for it... The only places I know of with reasonable prices require shipping. I believe Summit has a good deal on one of the necessary brands.

i know honda dealers are probably going to charge an arm and both legs for it so online it is..im on tas auto right now and I saw that there is a difference between lx/dx and ex/se..does it change because of the location of the o2 sensor or the engine..im running an f22a1 in an ex..my header and downpipe are stock f22a6..does it change?

If you're running the F22A6 header and downpipe, then use the F22A6 sensor. You're right, it's the location of the sensor that's different. I'm pretty sure the wire length is different as well, so it's a good thing that you're running the header and downpipe from the A6.

i figured they were because the lady at autozone asked me like a million questions (and still couldnt find it)..what brand of o2 sensor is the best from summit reacing..im on their website right now and they have over 2000 types..any specific brand work better with cb's than others? was looking for NGK but still have not found it..i am also searching the forum trying to find differences with each company..

is this denso one a good price?
