ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Its easy to R&R the intake manifold. you need both the right size socket, and a offset and flat wrench in the corresponding size. I believe its 12mm.....I could be wrong haha.
Just reach your hand back there and undo the screws. dont forget the stiffener bar also.
You will need to buy a NEW intake manifold gasket as well......

H23 Is ftw. Get a new gasket and your set. have fun.

The H23 has the larger TB and plenum... so if I had to get just one and not do a hybrid of both the A6/H23, I'd get the H23.

This is the 95% complete H23 IM swap....
        http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=16242

This is how it looks like when finished....
        http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=143268

I highly recommend the H23 over the A6, it has a larger plenum and throttle body, and its a bit bigger than the A6....
        Later.

everyone overlooks the f22b plenum, its TB bore dwarfs the h23/h22's
its like the difference btwn ur stock exhaust pipe diameter and the giant prolapsed gape u have now if u put a pipe on your car.

But doesn't the F22B have single runners? Whereas the A6 and H23 have dual runners.

That and the TB on the F22B is only 57mm, whereas the H23 is around 62mm.

Now if I'm incorrect, please correct me.

If I remember correctly the TB's on the f22ax are 58mm, and the h22/h23 TB is 60mm.

When it comes to the runners of the a6 they are better for top end, where as the runners of the h23 are better for low end. As for the plenums, the h22/h23 plenum is larger the the a6, and so is the tb.

Does anyone have a picture of the two for side-by-side comparison? I am curious to see the design differences.

                  A6 lower section/runners:

                  H23 lower section/runners:

Not sure if you can tell, but the H23 runners are just a little bit longer then the A6.

                  A6 plenum:

                  H23 plenum:

The H23 plenum has a larger volume then the A6. How much? I didn't measure... but it's noticeable.
