comments? love, hate, ill take it all.

a quick story behind this mini transformation. my car was stolen a month ago. i got it back, but they took the aem cai, stereo and my 5th gen 7spokes. so these wheels came to be, cause i needed anything... and i didnt want to buy new tires for the steelies i had. picked these up for $200 off craigs with decent tires. fast forward to today, they are just very boring wheels, so i had to do something. they're not permanent wheels, just longterm temps until i have some money to spend.

looks nice, only problem I see is that it doesn't look like you scuffed the surface first. Pics could be deceiving though, but without scuffing the surface to give your primer something to bite to, your paint will proably flake off pretty soon. Hope it holds up for you, it looks really good!

no, i did scuff... then entire wheel, lip too.

the primer and black was just some random paint i picked up. they all say use for wood, metal, plastic, etc... so i just picked one. the blue was duplicolor's metalcast.

that metalcast came out pretty nice. It reminds me of my rims.

If you're putting that on a black cb7 I think it'll look crazy

looking good man, but you definately want to hit that with some fairly thick clear coat. they sell clear specificly for wheels at oreilys and autozone. whenever i used metalcast paint, it always had a trouble adhering and would scratch and flake off eventually.
