Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    balancer shaft delete question

For those who remove that belt does your car still pass emissions without I want to know before I do this. Especially those who have done this in Cali did your car pass emission.

Sorry if this seems like a noob question.

Well i dont have one installed, yet. However, i dont see it messing with smog. The balancer shafts are not emissions related.

it cancels out harmonic vibrations caused by the crank rotation and combustion. Totally unrelated to emissions and will not change your readings for smog. just remove the belt. If your doing the timing belt as well i suggest using the balancer belt to get everything including the rollers in alignment and once everything is tight slide the balancer belt off.

What are the effects of taking it off. Also power increase?

Every review that I have read said that the engine rev'ed up a lot faster once it was removed. I plan to remove mine.

It's not maybe, it's a definitely will free up power.

It doesn't do any damage to anything.
