ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i want a sunroof on my lx..any idea??

any idea how i can get a sunroof or moonroof on my lx and how much it would cost??

    #2
I have wanted one aswell for the longest time. I'd google sunroofs or something and see how much one runs. I think you'l have to do it the o'l fashion way, just use a hacksaw and cut yer hole, then manually wire it up with your own switches and realays... My buddy's putin in a sunroof in his 73 240Z, he just bought the biggest sunroof that would fit and cut his hole (not sure about any other details...).

        buy an ex

or do not do it. You will spend more in "customizing" your lx then you would buying an ex with a bad engine and swapping everything over...and you will NOT be happy.

I agree with bcjammerx I've heard of ppl with custom sun/moonroofs and they usually end up licking and all that because they're not made the same way an OEM sun/moonroof is made so I would say save up and get an EX and swap everything over to the EX or just leave your LX the way it is...

I bought a 92 LX that has a sunroof. The sunroof was put in by Auto Air and Midwest Custom the cost was $1,195 plus tax. The sunroof was done by the previous owner. So I lucked out and have a 1992 LX with a sunroof. The phone number for the place is (314)534-8080. A lot of people will tell you that an aftermarket sunroof sucks compared to one that comes with the car. Mine is aftermarket and about as old as the car is and it works perfect no leaks or anything. Plus with aftermarket you have the pop-up feature not just back and forth like the stock EX sunroofs.
