Honda of America's a company with Hondas made in America, shipped to Japan. The CB coupes and wagons were manufactered in America, instead of Japan with the sedan CB3s. Same with whatever else Hondas with HOA badges, hencing the uber JDMness.
It should also be noted that in fact (at least for the 4th and 5th gen Accords), they were assembled in the same plant in Marysville, OH http://www.ohio.honda.com/CompanyInfo/products.cfm
as all of the USDM left hand drive models. For the 4th gens, all the '92-'93 coupes, and some of the '92 sedans, all of the '93 sedans were made in the US and exported to Japan.
No US model Honda ever came with a Honda of America badge. Such things were only on Japanese cars... hence, Japanese Domestic Market. Sold in JAPAN.
That makes it JDM. JDM isn't a status. Just a declaration of where something was sold. People just assume that because it was sold in Japan that it's high quality, exclusive, and uber-rare... It IS rare here, compared to the number of Hondas that DON'T have such things.
