I did my timing belt a few weeks back.
I cranked the entire assembly towards the front, then tightened the tensioner bolt.
I'm not almost 1000 miles into it. Should I loosen that bolt, turn the engine, then re tighten it?
Also, my lower timing cover is destroyed.
Both belts have cut into it to where I can actually see the tensioners, and the crank pulley is wearing into it.
I know this is a problem for this engine, but is there anything I can do to prevent it on the new cover?
