ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Yes at a shop helping out a friend. never again will I ever touch that car the parts alone aint fucking cheap. The owner had money out of the ass. the tires are way to expensive 50 grand per tire. Id be damned if I spend that much just for a tire for that car fuck that.

50 grand per tire, or per wheel? That's insane either way!
Was it a Veyron, or something else. It's funny... the only Bugattis I know are the Veyron, and the OLD ones from like, the 30s.

Unless you have money to burn... and a whole lot of it... and a place to really enjoy what those cars are capable of, I don't see the point in owning one. I learned that when I got my Fit. It's slow as balls... seriously underpowered... but it can be pushed to the limit easily. I've driven performance cars (not at the Ferrari/Bugatti level), and their limits are so far beyond that of what is doable on public roads that they're almost no fun. I can push my wimpy little Fit to the limit and never break any traffic laws!

as my dad always says: "it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow."

I think that's why Mazda never went crazy with thee Miata, and why the Mazdaspeed Miata never really gained popularity.

I drove my friend's STi a couple times, and I was in it once when he really pushed it (harder than he ever has before, I believe... he babies that thing.) From behind the wheel or in the passenger seat, the car is just so controlled... so deliberate... 80mph came effortlessly, and it just stuck to the road around curves. Awesome on a track, I'm sure. But to push it to a level that makes it thrilling to drive would require going even faster. Such a car is meant for a track (and the STi is fairly "normal" compared to the even more capable supercars mentioned here.)

It's sad... while some people will take their expensive supercars to a track, most of them are just driven no harder than grandma's Civic on public roads, never seeing the action they were built for.

I got to babysit an 89 Porsche 911 Carrera for about 2 years (~13 years ago). The owner's health was failing; he wasn't strong enough to operate the clutch and he didn't have garage space for it. I think I put about 2,000 miles on it keeping it "exercised". It was dangerous because any time I drove it - it wanted to go FAST.
