    Bilstein Shocks

From a somewhat brief search today it appears that Bilstein no longer offers rear shocks for 4th and 5th generation Accords anymore.

They used to as I know Fleetwood has a set on one of his Accord's. I also have an entire set for the 5th generation wagon on my coupe.

A buddy needs new rear shocks for his wagon. He is willing to spend the cash to get quality parts. I suggested he get some Bilsteins. While trying to find him a link quick, and doing a little bit of searching only the front 2 are offered now.

Basically my question is, am I missing something or did they really discontinue making this? A follow up question would be, what would you recommend instead of the Bilsteins for the rear of a wagon. Ride height is going to be stock.

I bought my front and rears for Ruby through TireRack (I think I put a set on the front of my wagon also); they don't even show the fronts any more. Bilstein's site only shows the fronts.

This site still shows the rears, Bilstein part number 24-017237: https://autoplicity.com/2511747-bils...20and%20struts Although it says "Ships from the manufacturer".

There are a number of listings on ebay from across the pond (I sent a note to one from Germany) to ask if he actually has them in stock. About $300 shipped.

Konis, not the yellows. Maybe the orange/red, which ever color they are using for the lower model.

KYBs are ok for stock applications.

Why does the spring bend slightly on the shock body? I just replaced my old Bilstein front Shocks , these are 97 Accord EX Stock Springs. Click image for larger version
