Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Im so dam fed up with crome. I think my idling issue is from crome. I put in my old p72 based tune and it idles like a champ, the p30 wont idle steady even when I enable closed loop.

So what exactly is the idling problems? Does it just surge? Even with my map? What afr does it idle at with my map? If you had to adjust, did you adjust ONLY the fuel multiplier offset box?

Oh, I fixed it. The iacv slider just needs to be pulled back with the p30 code compaired to the p72 code, and I had to screw in the idle screw a bit.
I noticed that my map sensor reads -1.4 at atomospheric pressure, and it read higher than my vacuume pump gauge reads by about 1.5. Is this typical of the factory sensor, or should I replace that? I know that that will proibly just move where the computer is pulling data from the map.

          Sometimes I hate my car.

This idle problem is driving me nuts. Now the idle will go from revving (as if the iacv duty cycle was set too high) to acting flawlessly, to occasionaly stalling out like it would if the iacv duty cycle was too low. It does this with two different chiped ecu's and two different iacv. Im using the map you gave me, d112crzy, I adjusted the fuel offsets all the way to 0 but it was still too rich, so I adjusted the fuel table data. I also tuned the low rpm low vacuum area of the map, because I noticed that it would dip there when recovering from a fuel cut, and get like a 5 or 6 ms injector duration. it was way too rich down there (~10:1) and now that is about where it need to be, the car dies less. Im about to try to tune my battery offsets because the battery voltage drops when the rpms get low (when the motor chokes out), maybe that will help.

I knew that if I kept at this idle issue that I would fix it. I have been tuning the low rpm area of the map below where I idle. Previously I had just been tuning the area of the map that I logged data in and didn't pay too close attention to this are of the fuel map. This car hasn't surged, or died, or had a hard start since I adjusted that part of the map. Its fucking awesome!
I will have 1/4 mile times with this setup this weekend, when I go to freaky friday in fayetteville.

Sounds great! Keep us posted. I like how you're taking tuning on. I wish back while I had more time, I could have done this with my daily driver. Anyhow, I applause you and hope you end up with a strong street tune. This has been something I hope to take on, if I get the chance to.

I know Id like to see a 14, but I dont know if its gonna happen. With the 1/8 mile et I have now, I dont think Its gonna be a 14 second QM. Im getting coilovers pretty soon, and hopefully I can get some better traction, right now the car is rocking some stock suspension that is worn out.

You COULD break into the 14's with an h22 trans. No way it's happening with an f22 trans, unless you have slicks.

                    I did 15.2 on 205/55/15 Falken Zeix 512's.

I know with a h22a lsd trans and some coilovers I think I would have it no porblem. right now a 2.4 is the best 60ft time I can get with my car, which is sad. I have to launch pretty weak at a low rpm to keep traction. Its pretty cold outside at night here now, and im going to be running my car around midnight. My car definantly makes more power when its cold like this, and I have a cam, so im interested to see what I run. I really want know what mph I get, et dosent concern me as much right now.
