ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Injector upgrade for chipped h22a

I've been looking for specific info on this topic and finally decided to ask a question here. I see a few of you here are running rdx injectors on your h22a motors. My questions are (1) how critical is a tune right after doing this upgrade in terms of drivability? (2) Could I not get my tuner to redo a base map to run higher cc injectors until I can get to a dyno? (3) And do I need to install my walbro fuel pump prior? Also I am assuming that running rdx injectors in our cars on an h22 will require obd1 to obd2 harness to wire them in, unless the rdx was obd1 that Im not aware of. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. Off the top of my head my mod list includes:

2.5 inch exhaust with cat delete
No name 3 inch short ram intake
    Aem fuel rail
    Skunk2 cam gears
    7.9 lb flywheel
Chipped p28, vtec engagement set at 4700 rpm

I'm no pro here as I have not ran these. Didn't realize you can gain up to 5HP off these. Great read here
    https://www.preludepower.com/threads...n-h22a.310446/.

As noted at rywire though (https://www.rywire.com/product-p/inj-rdx-410cc.htm), you do need an adapter if you are running a OBDI H22. So you need the injectors, rail, rail adapters, and electrical adapters/cables. Guessing these only come in 410cc, as they were made for the K series (so I'm reading).

    & they sell there here:
    http://www.rywire.com/product-p/inj-adapter-1-rdx.htm

Or the rail + adapters + electrical connections.....

As for the tune, only if you are changing the amount of fuel (cc) I believe. This is more of a "I put new plugs in and it works better" thing I believe. Same amount of fuel and air, just better combustion (fuel atomization) happening in the chamber. But one still needs to program the new injectors into the ECU as well. They may have different settings for timing as well. Rolling tune may be required to ensure they are functioning properly too (this is where I'm not a pro). Cheeers.

I miss these type of days. These were the fun days. Although I was a little late to the party, Keshia was really a great one.

Thanks for the feedback. Its seems like this would be a beneficial mod in the future, but not until I can get to a dyno to ensure the timing and everything is correct. I might not even have to fork out much for the injectors themselves because my local shop has used rdx injectors just sitting there which I can aquire for next to nothing. I will then just need the electrical and rail adapters which I can get from rywire. Much appreciated.

Make sure to have the injectors professionally cleaned before using if they have been lying around.

If you are changing injectors please have your tune corrected. You need to tell the program what size injectors you have..it is more than just adding fuel to the tune.

When you say "chipped" is that just a basemap tune or an actual tune for your engine? I am hoping you at least have a Wideband to monitor the AFR.
