ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22a1 into D16

Would my car be way slower if i swapped my F22a1 into a D16 or a D15? im just wondering because my F22 has blown rings and im on a tight budget and i can get a mini me for hella cheap.

You could put an H22A into your car for less than it would cost to install a D series.

WTF? how? A D series i can get for like 350 easy. the full swap. There is no way i can get a H22a for that.

And then you'll need to fabricate custom mounts, custom axles, wiring harnesses, fuel lines, and you'll need to hack a huge hole in your floor to accommodate the rod shifters needed to work the transmission (which you'll also need to buy, since Accord's transmission won't fit.)

Firstoff , its gonna be slower. I dont think our mounts even line up.
You will be better off buying a replacement motor which you can grab for cheap at the yard
By the time all said and done fitting that wimpy d series engine in the car you have boosted the f motor(with all the labor that will need to be put in.

A simple D16Y7 will move the car just fine. It's not much weaker than the F18A.
It's a weak engine for all the work it would take to install it, but the CB7 is not "too heavy" for it. It would work well enough.

D16Y8 would be better...It has 20 more horses and 5 ft-lbs more tq than the Y7......lol

                  Edit:
Probably easier to get the Y8 up here in Canada. So the Y7 would probably be a more viable option.

Ether way a Full H22 swap and tune would be cheaper!

I went with the lowest-powered D16 that should be readily available in the US. I figured that would be the most likely thing he could find for cheap. Which, of course, $350 isn't exactly dirt cheap. I sold my perfectly healthy F22A for $50 a decade ago.

yeah I went with the most expensive and hardest to find in the US.... Might as well make a D swap worth the cost and time.

I passed up on a fairly healthy (250k KM) F22A6 for $150 a few months ago... no room for another engine...

Who said it wouldn't? The B series will work, it's just not worth the time fabricating mounts and getting axles, hubs and a transmission to fit. When you can literally drop in a 180-200hp/150ft-lb H with little to no modification and keep Accord drive train parts.

                          A 200hp / 130ft-lb B18C5 from an ITR would still be a 200hp / 130ft-lb B18C5 if you put it into an Accord.......

a while ago i had a few people on here tell me that a b series wouldnt work in our cars because theyre too heavy.

                              Consider this;
DC2 Type R (Integra) listed curb weight = 2,595 lb
                              CB7 Accord listed curb weight = 2,728lb

That's a difference of 133lbs. So if the B18C5 can propel a Type R, I think it can handle the Accord.
