ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Cranks but wont start...

alright i have a 91 accord with the stock f22a1.
the engine cranks cranks and cranks but wont start.

just replaced the spark plugs, and it has a pretty new distributor
and wires. I think the main relay is good, i can hear it click when
the CEL turns off. I can hear the fuel pump going too, so i think
    thats still good.

i need to get this running asap, as its my only mode of transportation
    to and from work..

    so any suggestions?

    thanks in advance

Only time I ever had that problem with my accord, it was the spark plug wires. I know you said you think yours are pretty new, but mine were practically brand new. I put the old ones back on and never have had a problem since.

      Check the following...
      1) Coil Pack? Part of ignition...
      2) Looses spark wires? plugs? Oil flooding plugs?
      3) Fuel lines freezed?
      4) Fuel Filter clotted?

Ohh... if u have not add gas/fuel to your car for the last 300 miles, maybe u wanna do that even though the gauge says its 1/2 full... My gauge was stuck once saying I have alot of fuel, but it was empty... and it left me stranded on the highway, and it won't start too...

actually forgot to mention two of my plugs did have
a little bit of oil on them, wouldnt say they were
flooded though... would that cause that big of a problem
          though?

also wouldnt a clotted fuel filter only "limit" the amount
of gas getting to the engine, causing it to run like shit,
instead of not starting at all? unless its completely
clogged for some weird reason, because it was running
          fine the day before

also, thanks for your help. ill have to check the coil pack
          and fuel lines

no actually just the day before it refused to start, i put
in 20 bucks or so into an almost empty tank, so i dont
          think thats the problem,

          but thanks for your help

make sure youre getting spark. simply pull each wire and hold it near the valve cover. have someone crank the engine and see if you can spot a spark.

Like mentioned above, check to see if you have spark.

If you know of someone else that has a cb, try to swap out the main relay to see if that is the problem.

Can also do a search in the technical forums for this, I am sure there are a lot of problems like yours that you can find.

How many miles does your 91 have? Had that problem couple years ago so i had it checked and it was time to replace the timing and balancing belt.

My brother had the same issues with his car and I took the cap off and the rotor was just spinning on the dizzy. so we replaced the rotor and it fired right up.
