ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    black smoke from h22

I notice today that my I have a good amount of black smoke from my exhaust. I kno its normal for h22 to smoke a lil at high rev, but I was sitting at a light and saw alot of black smoke. And I was driving normal. I have a stock jdm h22, test pipe no cat and o2 sensor. Would that make my computer run richer then norml????? Any help is is appreciated thanks!!!

    The 02 sensor is needed,
Yes thats why your ECU is running richer than normal.

Okay that's what I figured just wanted to get a second opinion. I'm going. To try and do o2 sensor asap. Is it safe drive around with the car running so rich?? Or shud I park it up until I get the sensor.

You would just burn up alot of gas.
When i drove without an 02 sensor on the freeway, at 65mph, my RPM was above 3,000rpm.

It did horrible on gas. After putting in my 02 sensor, at 65, i was doing about 2k-ish
Saved alot more gas that way.

Side note, reset the ECU after you put in your 02 sensor so the ECU can re-adjust to reading the correct emission.

At least he doesnt have to worry about fouling his cat!
Could end up with a lot of carbon on your plugs though, you might want to check them out once you get the o2 sensor.

Do us all a favor and get a cat. Please.

You wouldn't want a fellow NJ CB7tuner to mention to local law enforcement that you're running around without a catalytic converter.
