So may have to pull the head off the F22B, we did a compression test and it doesn't look good.

cly 1 - 120 psi
cly 2 - 90-120 psi
cly 3 - 90-120 psi
cly 4 - 160 psi

Leakdown test seems to indicate that the block is good, didn't change those numbers at all. I'm gonna charge the battery I was using and run the test once more to be sure.

Would having no t/b and exhaust manifold installed skew the test results?

No it wouldn't, the test shows the car on the compression stroke before the valves open so it wouldn't matter if the exhaust manifold or intake were there. When putting the cylinders under compression, do you hear the air coming from any where else? Do you have a bad head gasket or warped head?

When I had that same problem the car had over heated twice and the head warped, it is very common for this to happen. Two other CB7's I have worked on had the exact thing happen also.

I have rebuilt the F22 over 6 times, if you need any help PM me

Yea I think I'll hook it back up tomorrow and have someone else on hand to observe as well, run the test once more. The guy we bought the car from said the head cracked, replaced the head with a JDM F20A DOHC head, did the timing set and all, and then put 40K miles on it. He wasn't the brightest bulb however, and kinda a hack. lots of missing bolts everywhere. But the head is externally cleaner than the block, I haven't pulled the valve cover yet even! Haha gonna make Jess take stuff off it tomorrow.

Running... Um not yet! lol We tore apart the engine a day ago and well we might have to replace some things. Eric wants to part it out and get a bigger one.

I did a little but I had an ADD day! Lol. Oh but the tests did run better
Cly1 got 190,
Cly2 and Cly4 Got 180,
and Cly3 got 150.

If I remember correctly.

I got a pile of parts for my car now!
But I have to say the graphics on some of them are amusing!
Like my clutch!

We cranked it on the floor. It was cool! (Total noob!)

So I need to work on my car more.

This past weekend I had all ambition to work on my Accord and well the garage was occupied and it was raining.

So I accomplished digging out my Antenna and its motor;

Then this was stuck;

In here;

Then this happened;

Now I'm waiting for a new one to come in the mail.

Weekend accomplishment: Kill antenna - CHECK

Accwgnguy brought the head of my F22 twin cam to the shop. It will be about a week before I can get it back.

Accwgnguy welded me a new exhaust!

Got new rims! Accwgnguy sanded them and we are getting ready to paint!

Painting the inner rim so it still looks good up close.

Got the valve cover cleaned up and sanded for paint!

Accwgnguy is teaching me how to paint! It feels so good to work on my car!!!
