nice start been looking at a wagon the last couple of days between that and a 96 2 wheel drive chevy truck im more of a stereo guy then a performance guy. take a trip to the middle of the country my paint was under 1000.00 and its quality. door jambs and offered to paint the engine bay but deal on new motor fell through. and that was with new metal..yes metal on the usual cb7 rust. and removal of all the little dings and what not shaving the antenna filling the rear emblem hole. new trunk two new fenders.

its like nothing in the world. definition of relaxation.

so far its looking great. in the beginning for a few days it gave of a little bit of a smell from the paint burning in since headers get pretty hot. i used 3 different paints, all were high heat engine enamels. ( you dont have to get the 1200 degree paint, 500 is fine) If you want a good job get a can of primer, color of your choice and a clear coat if you want to add some shine to it. Be sure to sand the heatshield to bear metal. i used 100 grid moving to 400 and finished with 600 grid. just spray on even coats and let it try for 1 hour between coats. i pretty much gave you a DIY

thanks dude. i already did it. but i didn't know if the paint was going to come away. (1200 degree one "alumin colour")

my first choice was to polish it but since my heatshield has a lot of little holes in it my plan got fucked big time. so paint was my second choice.

                    thanks for the replay

Dude!!! I would have a wagon if i thought I could deal with a car that big. I know it isn't bigger, but it looks it. Anyway, I love the look and I love seein' a slammed wagon once in a while. The grille looks P-I-M-P bro. Keep up the good work.

                            Nice wagon!
just wondering if the heat shield for ur short ram helps, the short ram on my car is good on cold days but i think it losses power on hot days. maybe a heat shield like that will help.
O yeah , did i say nice wagon?

Great achievements result from great effort

thanx man! i used to live in Port Richmond (allegheny exit of 95) but now i live in clifton heights in the suburbs, its about 10 mins from the airport. ill pm you if i got any problems grill - i did it myself on one boring day. it was pretty easy to do. all you need is a piece of gutter guard black paint (if you want it black). just get rid of the chrome piece of your grille and cut the gutter guard to the lenght of the grille adding about an inch on each side. when u got it cut get some small screws with flat heads and attach it at the bottom. then just bend the mesh so u can wrap it around the stock grille and then just fasten it with screws on the top. last, bend the extra sides to the inside for nice finish and then you can paint it. just gave u a DIY
