    Believe it or Not

Customer complaint of check engine light and slight overheating. Our technician proceeded on pulling out the thermostat for visual inspection. We could not believe what we saw. Mind you there are no signs of alteration on the thermostat housing and the bolts shows no signs of a socket being inserted. It's jammed in there pretty good and we could not take it out. How it got in there? Why was it in there? We don't know and did not bother doing detective work.

This came off from a 2013 Accord.

We were thinking of the same thing. Since it's warranty work , we're going to send the faulty/sabotaged part to Honda for inspection.

Coworker had a 2013 odyssey with more than average oil consumption, so we go to throw rings in it and cylinder 3 only had one ring on it.
