    cylinder head repair help

Hey guys so i had to replace a couple of valves on my cylinder head after a timing belt issue. And then somebody told me i was going to need a head gasket kit, but I'm on a really tight budget, so my question is do I really need a head gasket kit?

A new head gasket is HIGHLY recommended. Reuseing your old may lead to leaks. If you INSIST on reusing your old one, I suggest using a couple heavy coats of copper gasket.

Get a cheap MLS from ebay, as said i would also recommend cooper spray on it aswell as they are not top notch but they're decent.

Just a comparison; you can get a cheap Ebay gasket (I would ONLY recommend an Evergreen brand gasket, sold by mizumomotors) for $20, or an OEM Honda gasket from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for $35. Just a little food for thought...

My cheapie i'm pretty sure is the cause of my random miss, oh well new build in the works.

Ain't MJ shipping like $17 regardless? so $52ish still worth it.

Yeah, I think the shipping is a minmum of around $17, but yeah, $52 is worth it IMO.

Oh.... no you don't need the whole kit, just a new intake gasket, you can reuse your old OEM metal Honda exhaust gasket.
