ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    caliper paint

where can I get caliper paint to match my factory teal green. I also want to put a candy sparkle coat over the factory green. who usually does these type of paint jobs and how much do they usually cost. I'm in Hampton Roads VA if anybody close by knows.

Whats the point? IMO it would look wierd but im pretty sure you can find some sort of high temp paint that resembles close to the color. Try searching around the internet or ask around local paint shops?

i got high temp caliper paint in bright red for $6 a can. put like 6 coats on there and it didnt take hardly anything out of the can. it was really thin paint, but it covered ok after a few coats.

i'm not sure if the calipers heat up also along with the pads from the frction caused by breaking. i would think that it's just the pads though.

the caliper does not get as hot as the pads but its still hot.
Here is my suggestion this is what i used on my caliper and works amazing
-Rustoleum paint [you can go to home depot and get the paint mixed to get a color like your car too]
-Use a Paint brush and paint it on
-remeber to tape off everything you dont want painted. [use acetone or mineral spirit to get it off of stuff if you get it on anything]
                            * Also paint the brake caliper mounting bracket too. it makes it looks so much cleaner if you did.
I painted my caliper about 1 year ago and they still look amazing.

werd..i didnt, and im gonna have to go back and do it again. it looks goofy cuz its so small from a distance, and up close it doesnt fit the unpainted.
