Of all the Hondas that my family has owned, we have always used genuine Honda ATF for the automatic transmission. Even in my mother's 06 CRV we had my brother's shop use only Honda fluid when it came time for a drain and fill; cost a few bucks more but in the end i think it was well worth it.
It has only been in my manual swapped Accord that i used used non-Honda fluid in it but at least i used Mobil 1 fluid.
After having used both, i think i like how the Honda ATF works in my trans better.
