ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I can read you just fine without yelling.

So you have an F23 engine in the car with an automatic transmission, easy, get another F23 auto tranny and drill and tap the exact locations on the newer tranny as the one that is in there now for mounting purposes.

I don't think any other transmissions will utilize that engine to it's full purpose unless you were manual then you'd have a lot more fun choosing trannies.

Now, with the current auto transmission that is in it, what is the problem? is it not moving? which transmission computer is equipped? that might be your problem right there.

to be truthfully honest with you i have the slightest idea what ecu or tcu is in the car right now i dont know what he did to the car in order of making the tranny work i just know that you can start the car just fine it runs and idles smoothely but when you put it in gear its like it doesnt engage inside of the tranmission then after you sit long enough the car will eventually pop in gear but once it pops in gear it starts to make this loud grinding noise as if u were in a metal shop cutting pipes it does it in drive only and in park but not in the lower gears if u shift thru the gears you feel nothing and the dude i bought the car from went to the army and ive lost contact with him

sounds like the tranny is dead to me. just pull up the carpeting in the front passenger floor area and there ought to be two computers there. the one of the left is the ECU and the one on the right will be the TCU. Find the TCU and then type in all the numbers or take pictures of it and post it back on here.
