ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm sure you've all seen threads about the brakes

    And heres another one.

It does indeed have to deal with this damn HUR design.
    I took off the caliper
    The bracket
    The UCA
    The LCA
    The TRE
    Spindle nut off
Those pesky back 4 retaining bolts off.

Now this damn hub refuses to come off.
Talked to my buddies at AZ and they first of all were puzzled why the fuck honda would do something so immensely idiotic on such a commonly replaced part.

Second they recommended PB blaster and a crowbar

Tried it (though not to extensively because didn't want to bend the hub)

    Then they said "Torch it"

    Don't have a torch.

Then my boss said something about "GALVANIC TENSION" Or summin like that.

Now he said it would more than likely have to be pressed out.
I've searched and seen thats what most people do.

Now I'd like to try a cheaper alternative before I go there because chances are if I press out the bearing with the hub I'm gonna have to replace the bearing which the guys at AZ said is about 90 a wheel.

    F*** that.

Please halp. Are there any other solutions?

p.s. I cant completely separate the LCA from the spindle. My puller is to shitty to work. Any other ways to separate them?

get 4 10mmx1.25 bolts about 50-80mm long and screw them in the back of the hub where you took out the 4 12pt 10mm bolts. then hammer them.

Slightly off topic. Not trying to threadjack.
But, how much work is involved with converting to a rotor over hub setup? Cost, parts, difficulty, etc?

tasauto.com sells a ready-made bolt on kit to convert to rotor over hub. it has been well -reviewed by many on this site.

It comes with the new bearings installed.

given that you avoid the hassle/labor of pressing new bearings, it is probably well worth the cash if you anticipate changing the rotors much in the future.
