EXT : Secured Emblem on Mesh (not 3m tape)

Well I am making another DIY. I guess I just have that touch for this year to make some good and important DIYs. I wanted to make my emblem secure over a mesh grill better then 3m. My last 2.2i emblem was either stolen or fell off. I doubt it fell off but whatever.

    Parts and tools

emblem (any emblem you want to do)
    jb weld
    bolts (I used 10-24 x 1/2")
    locking nuts (for above bolts)
    cardboard
    stick to stir jb weld
    paperclip
    socket for nut
    Mesh on grill

    Pics

Here is my emblem another 2.2i emblem

lay out the cardboard, stick, and jb weld.

Put the jb weld on the cardboard and mix it up good.

Now apply the jb weld on to the backside of the emblem with a paperclip. You have to make sure its super clean! I had removed the old sticky adhesive with windex, goo gone, and acetone.

now clean off any jbweld that may have gotten to the sides. You want to make sure it your keep your emblem as clean as you can.

then let it dry for a couple of hours in the sun or where ever.

This is what my emblem looks once dried

Just put it between the mesh holes, put the nut on and secure down.

Here is what it looks like on my G-Square Grill Mesh

    front

    Back with locknuts

    G-Square Grill backside

Here is what it should look like when its on the car.

    Enjoy!

    Maury

Hmm, never really thought about using bolts for emblems this way.

    Very nice execution, Maury!

How I did mine as well. Except I double stacked two nuts and welded them to the emblem. Same idea though.
