HID Bulbs Xenon/Halogen Review! (New) w/ Pics (OPENED!!)

Aight i was bored and decided im going to write a newer write up on bulbs.. This time i am going to show pictures of the color and intensity of the bulbs as proof.. there are some that i dont have pictures for and i hope people will provide more pics and what not for me so i can update it all the time and give peeps info..

=Köba= (Said to be european made, on the box it says KobaUSA.com, well its a unknown company prolly a kid in his basement) My experience with Köba brand bulbs was rather decent. I had done a 9005 conversion with them, they were a nice output with a kind of dullish looking white blue head on.. not great for show off but semi decent for vision.

This is a pic of the Koba's color.. (less yellow than stock but yellow compared to other ricer bulbs)

Spark Blue 9006/9005(HB Bulb) SEXIEST LOOK EVER
-The Spark blue headlights at a whopping 7500k put out a color of blue that only is seen on the Generation 2 HID units. Althought these bulbs have a huge downfall, their visibility at night.. If you want to be able to see more than 10 feet in front of you these bulbs are not for you.. They are meant for show and they serve that purpose, at night it is like having no light at all, the high temp of the bulb because of the coating causes the blue to scatter into debris and anywhere but visible light.
This One is Koba(LEFT) vs Spark(Right)

Xtreme White Plus (No Pics Yet)
-Well i had these a few months back, and wow they were bright they were around the same as a new OEM bulb would be but a very cool blue/white output which is guarenteed to pass for a 4100k hid, except from close up they are noticeable bulbs... Theyre good for overall driving in my experience with them, you might form your own opinion..

Naxos Xenon Blue (80 watt) 9006 (No Pics)
-Now i must say these bulbs are pure CRAP! they output the light of a 40 watt bulb and they are not even BLueish, theyre pale white not even a deep nice white, just in between yellow and white.. DONT WASTE A DIME ON THEM..

EuroLite DP (Purple) DOT/SAE approved bulb (No Pics)
-These bulbs i didnt even test for more than 5 minutes because the color of it spoiled the whole thing, theyre not purple they are a pale pink color, i personally thought it was a ugly color, plus it was a 9005 conversion, not anywhere near as bright as some of the other bulbs i tested.

Nokya 55->80w 8500k Purple (No Pics Yet)
-These bulbs had to be the weirdest bulbs ive ever bought! i had them in a 9006 and they were semi decent output at night, the only weird thing about these bulbs are.. during the day theyre the deepest shade of purple, but at night theyre a Ghost white. i mean HID Identical white.... its so weird i couldnt figure it out but theyre semi decent. They also run very HOT! i tested and ran them for 45 minutes, the connectors got a little bit soft so use with caution..

SilverStar 9005 Conversion (Ty EuroJDMcb7 For the silverstar pics)
This has to be my favorite bulb to date for output wise and pure ghost white.. This is the only bulb that ive used so far that doesnt diminish vision for the sake of color of the bulb. This bulb does shine very bright for all that see it, head on my new headlamps and these bulbs are hid identical 4100k OEM Hid color that is, no blue-pure white

    EuroDezigns 6000k Blue
This was a bulb that i know another 2 people had tried and we all got the same result. A stock yellowish looking light, definately less yellow than stock but not even as good as the worst HID look alike bulb.. They are not bad but the downside is they are high wattage running 80watts. They claim it wont cause extra heat at 80w but it sure does, dont use in plastic lenses unless you need new headlamps soon because you will.. haha...

    Hiper (Xenon bulbs)
These bulbs claim to be brighter but theyre not, they have a slight bluish tinge to them but maintain a white color.. Vision with them isnt too good compared to stock halogen.

    Stock 9005 Honda Conversion
Just for the hell of it i know that ztech did this, im going to try it and see if its even brighter at all.. now im wondering this because with alot of the ricer bulbs i iused to convert.. they never seemed any brighter in a conversion... i have a feeling that its going to be super bright on the clear halogens just because theirs no coating to rob any of the light. my other prediction is that its going to be a lil whiter as all high beam bulbs are because they are higher wattage than the lower, if you look at the high vs low in stock format. the high is always whiter.. still yellowish tho so its all good.

if you have any questions on any of the bulbs just start a new topic because i did not want the review to get cluttered

      RS Type Super White Bulbs
      9006 Type/55W
(Ty for midnight racer x for the pics and the description)
He told me these bulbs are White during the day and White during the night. They give off a nice blue reflection when they are off during the day. At night he said they dont dissapate in the rain.. which is odd.. but maybe hes rite..

      heres some of the pics.

      the daytime pic

        Lazer Blue 9005's (lowbeams):

These bulbs are excellent on all fronts.

Projected color: Very white with the slightest hints of yellow and blue.
        Headlight color: ~5500K look.
Beam pattern: Relatively wide and long...probably 80-85% of the area of high beams w/o the glare.
Rain vision: Pretty good...the yellowness helps.
        Cost: Don't remember...$30/pr?
Life: A year and still strong, way better than my Silverstars(3 months).

        Sylvania Silverstars 9005 (lowbeams):

These bulbs are somewhat overhyped, but not bad. I wouldn't get them again...

Projected color: Purplish/blue white w/not enough yellow. Beautiful on cars in front of me w/sparkly clearcoat.
Headlight color: Straight up OEM HIDs.
Beam pattern: Not good from what I remember; relatively bright within short distance.
Rain vision: AWFUL, COMPLETELY WASHED OUT. My girl at the time complained.
        Cost: $40/pr easy.
Life: ~~~3-4 months maybe? Disappointing. Perhaps they use a different filament than the 9006's; brighter but lower life. My left side went out and I was pissed...

cool blue*autozone*: its crap.. output still yellow..

life: i returned it the same day...

Rain: dont care never had it long enough

most autozone people are dumbasses anyway.. i asked if they were blue output and they gave an unsure yes.. and most of the time i ask them a technical question.. they dont even know what it is..

          EURO DEZINES:

is fuckin crap... NOT BLUE like they said and out put sucks.. they claim that they are DOT but they are not! i did the 9005 conversion on them.. its wack..

life: dont give a crap. cuz i gave them away in a week
color: basically another shitty superwhite which is hard to tell if your lights are on or the road is lighter...

          rain: NOT VISIBLE AT ALL

          _________________________________________________

          SILVER STARS 9005 conversion:
theyre are great .. i did the 9005 conversion and it is pretty bright.. i got better vision and plus cops hasnt hassled me that my color/brightness is a problem..

life: so far i had them more then 8 months already and still going..

color wiseretty nice.. has a slight green tint at some angles.. not yellow.. more of a white color.. not too noticeable for after market..

          rain: visible.. but reflection sucks..

FYI, yellowish light is the brightest and best in the rain. Hell, OEM HID's are a little yellow on the road if I'm not mistaken. The ideal situation would be a light that's yellow on the road but bluish in your housing (again like 4100K HID's)...

nokyas are decent but if u want the looks then go for them. But mainly they are just color coated bulbs with little visibility.

Do not forget to upgrade your harness if you want to buy Nokya's. They run very high wattage, and will fry your stock harness in no time.

I just bought the silverstars, and holy shit what a difference. I had the apc ones and they didnt last me through the year. If you can find the redline bulbs they are similar to the silverstars but i cant find those anymore. You can buy the bulbs at walmart and keep your packaging, that way when they go dead just bring them back and get new ones. Wal mart will take anything back
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.
