Recommend some bulbs for headlights

Im goin to buy some bulbs this weekend..what do you guys recommend?..what brands etc etc..im a noob at this...sorry..

btw...the bulbs are for my headlights.

Go with silverstars or better save up for H.I.D kit.

Silverstars burn out really quick. Waste of money, IMO. If you do get 'em, order off ebay, you'll save 20 bucks. PIAA's are supposed to be good, but they're even more expensive then the Silverstars. I'd say Phillips with the 9005 conversion will be a good setup.

i got 8500k euro dezign lites got them off of ebay for 12 bucks a set look awsome and light factor is way better them stock, plus the cool blue effect, cops have never messed with me either plus they come with a lifetime warrenty against burn out

i got 9006 japan HID bulbs...cheap ass bulbs...hopefullly they wont burn out.

im gonna upgrade to thicker wiring harness and order some raybrig bulbs. they are supposed to be ok. what you guys think?

i use luminics bulbs, the hyperwhites they have. work really well. they have hyperwhites, yellow and ultra-violet bulbs off of there website. ver inexpensive, 25 bux shipped. learned about them off of Honda tech. http://www.luminicsbulbs.com

Raybrigs are awesome...

I've seen the yellows and the absolutely white bulbs in a civic and they are worth it...

More white (with no hint of blue) than the Razo's

although the yellows put out about the same yellow output as Hella Yellowstars (which can be had for a 5th of the price) they are still quality...


I really like my PIAA Super Plasma & Hella Yellowstar combo though...

If I had it to do all over again I might try some of the Optilux bulbs though...

I love my silverstars! They are hella whiter then normal halogens and light up really well...if u have ur lights aimed right though. I think I'm gonna do the 9005 conversion with them though to get even more light output. I've heard of PIAA's having short lives as well.

MTEC 4X, cheap, and you will NOT be dissapointed. There is some pics of them on in my members ride section I think. They are brighter than silverstars, and whiter. BY far.

Don't touch the glass part of the bulb and you shouldn't have a problem with any standard wattage bulb...

I'm very pleasantly surprised with my PIAA's... and I'm glad I spent the extra money...

MTEC or Luminics seem to be getting good reviews for decently priced, good output bulbs... but I'd think MTEC has a slight edge for no particular reason...

Check out the Hella/optilux stuff at www.rallylights.com though.... I'm very happy with my Hella bulbs...

i just installed my h4 silverstars....no good

my 9005 converted eurodezigns hyper white/ purple tint was much brighter when i had my usdm headlights

I have the MTEC whites, 4150K. Not 4x though. They are white. Whiter than Silverstars, ie. the most overrated bulb out there. My friend has the blue MTEC's, 4750K on her Mazda 3. Look very nice, but again the light output isn't great. So, I'm gonna get the 4750K 9005 bulb this week, already have the harness for it. Should be perfect. DO NOT BUY SILVERSTARS, or hell, I'll ship you my used ones for almost free if you want, but you'd be sorry.
Also have PIAA Xtreme Whites in my highbeams, they're good, but again not that white.
