ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    sports button?

In a crap'O'matic 91 lx 4dr what does the sport button do other than change the shift times i mean anyone know if there is a performance gain or is it just there to make you think your are going to go faster by pressing it?

    Welcome to the site!

I can't answer your question because I don't have one the sport button, but don't knock autos too bad, some of the faster and nicer cars on this site are autos.

    Have a great day.

it makes it shift later. Mine pulls to just short of redline if I really get on it, whereas without sports it pulls to about 5600.
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

            The Sports mode is fun.

When getting onto a highway i always press that button and watch the revs fly~~ that's the best way to accelerate utilizing almost all of the power band...

for inner city stop and go, turn it off...for freeway acceleration, keep the S on!

It hasn't really made a difference for me....all you got to do is put your foot to the floor and you get the same thing...want better acceleration shift into low as long as you are fine with going no more than 70ish...peace

Actually the sports button is really a button for NAWS, it was a dealer option, sadly nobody bough it.

No, but seriously, back when my parents had a '90 EX, I used to press it and my dad would always turn it off.

ALL 90-91 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS HAD IT. Except maybe the DX models.
