Today I was driving around and i noticed when i got home that the maintenance required light in the cluster came on and turned red. What does this mean?

It's just a convience light, It turns red every 7500 miles to remind you to change your oil (Honda's recommend interval for oil and filter change is 7500 miles). To reset it to green just stick your key in the little slot in the cluster next to the maintance indicatior. -

actually, recommended oil change is at 3,750. The indicator changes every 7,500 for oil change and tire rotation.00 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 4X4

I think it depends on the Honda. If you look at your owners manual it says every 7500 miles. But n the Owners manual for the Acura RL it says every 3000 under "hard" driving conditions and 7000 under "normal" driving conditions.Originally posted by mrhonda

this happened to me tonight
me and my buddy (2000 Civic) were rippin er up and then all of a sudden i seen that it turned red. so i drove to my home as fast as possible and here i am. not shitting myself anymore
