Possible way to get Lexus Yellow fogs without Painting the lens?

I don't see why you need to take the fogs apart, but I might just have to do this.

    Yellow Fog

If it works, I will do it to my mom's car when she gets it.

    Here's a web site for you: http://www.lamin-x.com/

They make laminate films for covering tail lamps, fog lights, headlights, etc.

    Gray, blue, yellow...

Jim: Well, my name is Jim, but most people call me... Jim.

Right, but the whole point, I don't like Yellow fogs...well fogs painted yellow, or yellow housings. I just like the color. I want to keep all clear up front, but I know the yellow is far better in output, I've done all the testing to prove it.

Oh, alright, misunderstood what you were saying.

I use yellow Narva bulbs in my fogs. The lenses are clear but they will light in that nice yellow color. Selective yellow is what they call it.

Nokya also makes a yellow bulb that a couple of people here use and like.

Just don't get the dichroic (sp?) bubs that have the rainbow-ish or yellow/purple look, not the right ones.

I actually have Hella Yellowstars now and they produce nice light, but if you look in the pic of the completed project, that looks just like the Lexus color, and that's what I'd ultimately want to obtain I think. Although the added visbility from my bulbs now are awesome.

thats what my CC2's are like.. they just use a standard H3 bulb and have a yellow plastic bubble thing. and you all see how yellow mine are.

mind you that our fog lenses aren't clear, so even if you get a yellow bulb, the color it puts out still wont be That yellow.

Exactly, I'm just interested to see if it works, that's all. I don't want colored fogs, and I'm interested to see if I can get the Lexus color without paint. I love my bulbs now, but I just was like kinda a why not idea.

i had is300 projectors in my fogs for a while, and I must say it looked alot like is300 fogs while on, but like stock cb7 fogs when off Of course thats a lot more expensive option

also coincidentally i was actually thinking of doing the same thing to my foglights with my caps. 93accordex, was it hard to open up the fogs and install the IS fog projectors?

the jdm DA fogs in the headlights are very similar to the CC2 headlights: they both use that yellow glass cap in over the H3 fog bulb. you can't see it as much though since the DA headlights are diamond cut while the CC2 aren't.

non-diamond cut = you can see the bulb and yellow glass cap
