ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Where Do My Vac Hoses Go? H23 Intake On F22 Manifold.

Can someone please tell me if i have my VAC hoses in the CORRECT ports?
I just put on a H23 intake onto my F22. I put the hose marked 21 into TB. Hoses 20 and 24 i put on the back of the H23. Hose 20 being closest to TB. the Hose marked 8 i put on the front where its the furthest away from the rest....i assume. Are my hoses in the correct ports?

this is the stock F22 setup. Hoses 21, 20, 24, and 8. 21 is on TB.

this is how i did it on the H23...should i be worried? Dont mind that ghostly TXT up on the left corner. error.

They look fine. They are just vacuum hoses.

      Are you having any problems?

well after bleeding the coolant system my idle runs at 1000. my norm is 8-700. my vac hoses are in great condition. i know my external ignition is bad, but before i did the swap my idle was just fine? wtf?

Have you checked the tension on the throttle cable?

Also, you need to adjust the idle screw on throttle body. Remember, the throttle body was setup for a different motor.

Well I'm TOTALLY assuming that you put the nuts missing from the TB back on before starting it and wondering about your idling. Just saying...

i adjusted the throttle cable as much as i could without it opening up the throttle. throttle screw is fully turned CW. i "tried" resting my iacv....did no good....im beginning to think i have vac leak somewhere or could my MAP sensor be dead?

Yeah I figured as much. When I pulled my IM to clean it I had a similar issue, it ended up being me leaving off the bolt that was next to the thermostat housing under the passenger side of the IM. I would double check all your bolts on the IM, make sure your vac lines aren't cracked. And when you bled the coolant system did you hop in the cabin and turn the temp knob to hot? You need to to properly bleed the system, you don't turn on the heater fan, just turn the knob to hot. This opens the valve to the heater core, and allows you to fully get all the bubbles out of the system.

well i checked all my vac and coolant lines again and reset my iacv. i kept the car running for 10 minutes and now my idle seems normal. sits at 800. but now im a little confused. on cold starts my idle jumps to 1500rpms and as it warms up it drops. good or no good? did i "F" something up? because i could of swore on cold starts my idle never sat that high before my h23 intake swap.
