ENG: solution for f22b dohc power steering belt fiting problems

o.k so i have read a couple things about how getting the power steering belt on the jdm f22b dohc can be a nightmare.......there was a host of answers from custom belts to tracking down some obscure belt......none of which was totally confirmed until now.

first off it's easy....i have the stock f22a power steering pump and the pulleys.
now the f22a(stock) power steering belt is 42in........that is too short for the f22b dohc you need a 44in belt.

i went to canadian tire and asked for a belt 2 inches longer and one with the same grooves as the accord belt.they will have it in the computer.

so this is the part #14-0855-4
    and this is the size#440k4
the name of the company is power torque
the belt is for a subaru 1.8L (it doesn't say what type on the box) but it fits perfect.

if your from the states just go to your auto parts shop and ask for the same thing.
    remember 2 inches longer,so you need a 44in belt it's that simple.

no need for pics cause if you got this far then you know what your doing when it comes to tightining the belt.

if you have this problem then this is the solution...so there you have it
enjoy your power steering once again.....lol

I used an H23 Belt and it still didnt fit. However the solution is after the pump is slack or loosened up, remove the pulley then put the belt on then bolt the pulley back on. Its very easy to put back on once the pulley is off and the belt is in the groove. Note that the pulley bolt is a REVERSE bolt. Meaning turn right to loosen it and left to tighten it.
